During the Mortal Kombat 11 showcase, NetherRealm Studios announced that one of the main characters featured in the game — Sony Blade, would be played be the Olympic Medalist and WWE Champion Ronda Rousey.
The news kind of caught people off guard, however, for the past couple of weeks there were a lot of speculation of Rousey and Mortal Kombat 11; so there was a little suspicion by fans of what was to come. Rousey has been a Mortal Kombat fan for a while so it is a dream come true for her to play one of her favorite characters, Sonya Blade.
