Killstreaks make a return in Call of Duty: Ghosts, which like in Modern Warfare 3 are referred to as Strike Packages. They are broken into three distinct groups for different styles of play. There’s Assault, Support, and Specialist, each of which functions in a different way.
Assault Strike Packages
Assault Strike Packages are based on consecutive enemy kills and reset upon death.
-
Sat Com – Use satellite communications to relay enemy movements. Drop multiple Sat Coms on the map for enhanced reads on enemy locations. Sat Coms are a replacement for the UAV killstreak.
-
Guard Dog – Summon Riley to fight by your side. Your Combat dog will warn you when there are nearby enemies and take out ones that got the jump on you.
-
Maniac – Call in advanced juggernaut armor via Care Package; however, you will be armed only with a knife.
Support Strike Packages
Strike Packages in the Support class do not reset upon death and are used primarily in aiding teammates.
-
Night Owl – A companion drone that detects enemies based on proximity and protects you from explosives.
-
MAAWS – Paint targets to guide missiles from the free-fire shoulder mounted rocket launcher.
-
Helo Scout – Provide sniper support for your team aboard a controllable helicopter.
Specialist Strike Package
Specialist Strike Packages earn players Perks for consecutive kills.
