Celeste Sold Over 500,000 Copies in 2018, Creator Matt Thorson Announces on Twitter

Matt Thorson, creator, and director of Celeste took to Twitter to announce that the critically acclaimed title has sold over 500,000 copies in 2018.

This is huge news for the game, as Thorson never thought the game would sell this much, but due to word of mouth and good publicity, the game has gone on to sell a huge amount.

In addition to word of mouth and good publicity, Celeste is an excellently created game, so there is really no surprise that the game sold well; gamers are attracted to well-designed games plus it is addicting, filled with story moments, and challenging.
