With the large scale of Grand Theft Auto 5, players will continue to discover new things before and especially after the launch of the game.
Until the launch, Reddit users continue to find some of the locations from the overhead map in the GTA5 gameplay trailer and matched them to their real life counter parts.
If you look at this image, below you will see the screenshot from the gameplay trailer. Since Grand Theft Auto 5 will not match the exact scale of Los Angeles, you can see some notable locations condensed into one area. Reddit users noticed the location of motorcycle tracks, prisons and airports located next to each other both in the game and in real Los Angeles.
A few days ago, Reddit users also matched the location of Franklin from the trailer to the screenshots from Game Informer. Using that information, they were able to locate both the placement of Vespucci Beach in-game and in the trailer. From that map comparison, you can observe the scale of both the environments to the actual map size.
