Fable has a thing about chickens, so too does Ubisoft's The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot as the company has today announced an "Unleash the Chickens" contest which will allow participants to get sneak peak at the game while it's still in closed beta.
This is the second Open House event for the free-to-play PC game and is set to take place from today, July 30th, until August 6th. You can sign up for the event here using a Uplay account and will be granted immediate access to the closed beta during the event.
According to the press release "The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot development team has issued its first Opulencian Edict, known as 'UNLEASH THE CHICKENS!' which states, 'If the community is able to extinguish the existence of no less than 10 million chickens during the course of the second Open House event – the chicken will be unlocked and become available as a castle defense item for all players in the next game update."
The two chicken castles, Castle Chicken Shack and Castle Chicken HQ, can be found in the game's Competition Zone. Quite how effective chickens are at fortress defense remains to be seen.
The first Open House event, held earlier this month, was a "castle-smashing success with more than 71 million gold coins plundered, 41 million life force shards lotted and exactly 337,938 heroes falling to the formidable fortifications of their peers."
Returning players will be able to resume where they left off with all stats and specs transferring to the second Open House event.
