When it comes to professional gaming, only the very best players of any given title will make the cut. These members of the gaming community have devoted months of their time to mastering whichever game they have decided to pursue.
Today's game of choice is League of Legends, a title that has grown immensely over the past year or so. The game released in 2009 to much fanfare, but no one expected it to become the cultural phenomenon that it is today. The title has spawned a professional gaming scene unlike any other, and with this comes a following of gamers willing to do anything to make their name known.
One Youtuber, gbay99, wants to help gamers reach their goals. While he may not have the credentials of a professional player, he certainly seems to understand League of Legends and has a unique perspective on what separates average/top-tier gamers.
Gbay says that the main difference that he sees between these two player types is that professional gamers have the ability to follow a number of different things on-screen at the same time. He also says that while it is obvious how good a Starcraft 2 player might be right off the bat, it is much harder to tell in League of Legends because of the game's nature. While a Starcraft 2 player is using hot keys to jump around the screen very quickly, a League of Legends player will just be attempting to garner last-hits on minions so as to maximize income.
However, what we have discussed here is only the tip of the iceberg. Take a look at the video below and see for yourself what makes a professional gamer:
