The Pokemon Company and GameStop have today announced a special event which will see Pokemon Black, Pokemon White, Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 gain the chance to pick up the Shiny Legendary Pokemon Diagla, Palkia and Giratina at participating stores across the US.
Each of the Legendary Pokemon will be available for three weeks and the distribution schedule is:
- Shiny Diagla: Monday, August 19th, 2013 – Sunday, September 8th, 2013
- Shiny Palkia: Monday, September 9th, 2013 – Sunday, September 29th, 2013
- Shiny Giratina: Monday, September 30th, 2013 – Sunday, October 20th, 2013
To avail of the promotion you'll need to bring a copy of one of the games plus a DS or 3DS to one of the GameStop stores involved during the windows mentioned above.
In a press release The Pokemon Company commented that the promotion was "In celebration of the highly anticipated launched of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y for the 3DS family of systems. What makes this event extraordinary is that each of the distributed Legendary Pokemon, which are already difficult to get during gameplay, will be Shiny, meaning they have unusual coloring that is extremely rare."
Pokemon X and Pokemon Y are set for release on the 12th of October.
