In a new PlayStation Acess video, above, it has been revealed that PS4 owners can add up to 2,000 people on their friends list on the system.
On both the PS3 and Xbox 360 the maximum number of people you can have on your friends list is 100 and you then have to delete existing friends in order to make room for new ones. This won't be the case on PS4 where you can add a mammoth 1,900 more friends.
The Xbox One will allow for up to 1,000 friends.
Of course, chances are you'll have little-to-no idea who most of these 'friends' are but the expansion ties in with the social aspect of the console Sony are trying to push and while it may be unlikely, some of the system's more profilic users might find it's not enough.
The video addresses a series of other points, reminding people that while the DualShock 3 is not compatible with PS4 PlayStation Move controllers are. The video also notes that while online multiplayer requires a PlayStation Plus subcription on PS4 party chat does not and is free.
The PS4 is set to be released later this year for €399/$399/£349.
