DICE has today revealed a new trailer for Battlefield 4 which looks at the game's Battlelog system with assistant producer Jesper Nielsen saying the studio wanted to "really expand the service to be integral to the game experience itself."
He added that Battlelog in Battlefield 4 will be "something not just the PC gamers can enjoy" which is good news for those looking to pick up the game on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 or Xbox One.
Oskar Gabrielson, Battlelog's producer, said the service has been built to accomodate PC, mobile and tablet devices which can be used while playing the game.
Battlelog users will be able to check stats, select servers, choose loadouts remotely and then just press a button when they reach their console or PC to begin playing. You'll no longer need to exit a game to switch servers either; this can be done directly from Battlelog.
You'll even be able to use your tablet as a second screen while playing Battlefield 4; allowing you to have a mini-map which allows you to see where your squadmates are and what they're doing.
Players will also be able to change their weapon selection on-the-fly using Battlelog. Once you select a weapon your choice will automatically be reflected in the game.
Battlefield 4 is set for release in North America on October 29th and in Europe on November 1st.
