If you're in any shape or form excited for the upcoming Dark Souls 2, then this is the place you want to be. A wayward soul at this year's San Diego Comic-Con has very stealthily recorded some actual gameplay footage of Dark Souls 2. Yesterday, we wrote about another person gathering notes on the game, but this trumps that feat in many ways.
The four videos that were recorded today, and then uploaded to Youtube by user SteamyPunkSouls, depict a myriad of different scenarios within the game. They show the players at Namco Bandai's booth fighting normal enemies, the Turtle Knight and the mysterious Mirror Knight. Both of these knights have been the subject of an inordinate amount of discussion, and we're excited to see the two finally make an appearance.
Though some reports are critical of From Software for making the game more accessible, these accusations appear to be unfounded. In true Dark Souls fashion, all four players who pick up a controller in these videos are swiftly taken down. This reassures us that the franchise will remain just as tough as it was before.
One series of attacks executed by the Turtle Knight killed the player in just four hits, and due to the staggering effect brought on by these blows, we're unsure as to how he would have escaped anyway. We've provided this video below, but for the other three, please visit the brave attendee's channel who put his badge on the line and recorded these for us.
