The Elder Scrolls Online will be making its debut early next year – Spring, to be precise – but many are left to wonder if it will live up to the standards set previously by titles in the franchise. This is Bethesda Softworks' first foray into the world of MMORPG gaming, and should prove to be a contender if done right. What made World of Warcraft so successful was its lush lore, established well before the MMO ever released. The Elder Scrolls Online has this aspect in bounds, as the game will allow you to explore the realms trodden in previous Elder Scrolls games.
While Bethesda has been running a pretty tight ship where the beta is concerned, players have been loyal to their gaming brethren and are making every attempt to show off what is currently available. The story is the same here, as Youtube user Scotty Mcbotley has published a small segment of his very own experiences in The Elder Scrolls Online. The video is short, but it does show something that we have all been itching to see more of: combat. While Mcbotley only goes as far as killing a couple of skeletons and a wolf or two, we were no less excited.
The video, which is unlisted and hidden under the name "What did he say," can be found here. We've also provided it below, with a couple of alternative links for your use.
