Capcom bringing giant presence for Comic Con 2013 on their 30th anniversary

July 17, 2013 by Ryan Parreno

Expect to get overwhelmed between a bevy of games, photo ops, panels and merchandise.

On Capcom's 30th year, they have an immense lineup ready for this year's San Diego Comic Con. There's literally too much to go through, so I'll just get straight to it:

Game demos on hand will be for Ducktales:Remastered, Lost Planet 3, Phoenix Wright:Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and Dungeons and Dragons:Legend of Mystara.

Photo ops abound as Capcom is bringing Uncle Scrooge's Money Bin and a life size Mega Man. Other mockups include an Ace Attorney witness stand and some Monster Hunter weapons behind some MH backdrops. Staff From these games as well as Street Fighter, Lost Planet and others will also be on hand to take photos.

Capcom announced a lot of fan pleasing merchandise in advance of this event as well. The Capcom Store will have the 25th anniversary Mega Man statue, inflatable Mega Buster, Mega Man 25th anniversary 3DS an 3DS XL cases, a Megaman keychain, Resident Evil Umbrella Corporation watch, Darkstalkers poster set, Street Fighter X Sanrio Hello Kitty plushies, and a KidRobot Mecha Zangief.

Capcom's scheduled panels are for Street Fighter, Ducktales Remastered, How to Get a Job in Video Games and The Art of Video Games, as well as a World of Capcom panel to encompass all of the current games. The Street Fighter panel will also serve as host to the first ever Mr. and Mrs. Street Fighter pageant.

Lastly, in celebration of their own anniversary, there will be a C30 IQ TEST kiosk, where fans can test their esoteric Capcom knowledge. Everyone who plays will get a commemorative 30 year pin. Other swag you can get there for free include a Scrooge McDuck diecast pin, a Lost Planet travel bag, posters for all their featured games, and more.

I suppose it's simply a given that Capcom hits out of the ballpark in SDCC year after year, but Capcom has a lot of fanpleasers prepared for the showroom floor this time around, so their booth is a definite can't miss!
