Angry Birds Star Wars 2 Releasing This September

Rovio has announced Angry Birds Star Wars 2 for release on September 19th this year with players having the ability to "Join the Pork Side" for the first time.

The game adds 30 Skylanders-like figures called TELEPODS which are being made by Hasbro and will be sold separately and you can find out more in the trailer above.

According to the official announcement: "The new game will tackle the prequels, intorducing a wide roster of never-before-seen Angry Birds Star Wars characters. The best part? You'll get to play with over 30 of them!

"At this point we will not comment on rumours or speculation that Jar Jar Binks will be in the game."

Accompanying the launch will be a range of themed toys, plushies, books, apparel and more. Rovio has also promised more details about working for the Sith soon.
