Pokemon X and Y are being hailed as the generation that will change the series forever. While Black and White 2 certainly made some progressive additions to the franchise, the features that have been detailed for X and Y so far are pretty amazing. We're hoping the renaissance that Pokemon has been experiencing continues and that Game Freak offers their best work in the upcoming X and Y iterations.
Today, a comparison was made that puts a number of the more well-known Pokemon from X and Y side-by-side. The idea behind this line-up was to see how the Pokemon looked in terms of size when put next to one another. Seeing just how small a Flabebe Pokemon really is or how large others are can be quite astounding. One of these bigger Pokemon comes in the form of legendary Yveltal, who will be the star of Pokemon Y. While the fact that Yveltal is compared to his other Pokemon compatriots a bit arbitrarily – he is in-flight, wings open – it's easy to infer that should it be grounded it would still be a good deal larger.
Given these shortcomings, it could be argued that the legendary Pokemon of X version – Xerneas – stands close to Yveltal's actual height. Regardless of how you look at it, the two legendaries are still far larger than any of the other Pokemon encompassed within these results. Kudos to the person who crafted this, as we are sure it took some time, effort and research. It sure put things in perspective for us, as we had no clue how much of a size disparity there would be between certain Pokemon going into X and Y.
