Microsoft is billing the Xbox One primarily as a entertainment device and, of course, a game console but now they're claiming the system is just what every small business needs to get their hands on for its video conferencing and networking capabilities.
According to Microsoft's Small Business Support webpage "What is being positioned as an excellent entertainment device can be just as enticing for you and your small business. In fact, it's entirely justifiable to make the Xbox One a business expense. The Xbox One, priced at $499, is an affordable option for small business owners, as there are many features built into the console that could help it rival even the most modest of video conferencing and networking platforms."
Pointing to services such as Skype, Skydrive and Office Web Apps Microsoft believes small businesses can get a lot out of their system.
Microsoft has also registered the web domains www.officexbox.com and .net today.
Of course, you'll need to convince your boss you're using the console for work rather than, say, playing Titanfall. What do you think, will many companies take up Microsoft's offering?
