Yesterday, Sony posted an image on their official Twitter and Facebook accounts of a planet covered in darkness and the tagline "when worlds collide".
Now it has emerged that the project is an Insomniac game. The developer Tweeted:
Big News coming tomorrow!!!!. When Worlds Collide…. Heroes Return: pic.twitter.com/CwLmOsRJNc

From the few details provided it seems a new Ratchet and Clank game is on the way, possibly for PS4.
Insomniac has traditionally been a PlayStation developer creating Spyro, Ratchet and Clank and Resistance for Sony's consoles but recently they released co-op shooter Fuse for both PS3 and Xbox 360 while the company announced Sunset Overdrive exclusively for Xbox One at Microsoft's pre-E3 media briefing last month.
Despite their recent divergence it seems Insomniac still has something up its sleeve for PlayStation fans. The studio's Ted Price recently said, "While we are excited about partnering with Microsoft on Sunset Overdrive, that doesn't mean we can't or wouldn't make games with our longtime friends at Sony."
What are you hoping to see in a next-gen Ratchet and Clank title? An animated movie based on the series is set for 2015 so the game may well be connected. Either way, we'll find out more tomorrow.
