Metro Last Light Faction Pack DLC Out Next Week

July 10, 2013 by Stephen Daly

Play for the Rangers, the Reich and the Red Line in Last Light’s first DLC.

Deep Silver has announced that the Faction Pack DLC for Metro: Last Light is set to be released on Steam, Xbox Live and PlayStation Network on July 16th with European PS3 owners able to pick up the pack a day later.

Three new single player missions will be included in the DLC with each casting gamers as a different specialist from the Moscow Metro's major factions and will return to some of the main locations featured in Metro 2033. As that game was never released on Sony's platform the DLC will mark PS3 owners' first opportunity to explore some areas not available in Last Light's main campaign.

You'll play as a Special Detachment Sniper of the Communist Redline who must inflitrate a heavily guarded Reich Outpost during a "deadly radioactive storm".

Afterwards you'll switch to a Reich 'Heavy', who has been tasked with defending the post with some of the Metro's most powerful weapons.

Finally, you'll play as a Polis Ranger in training who must explore a vast library. It's implied that for this segment you'll be operating under a time limit as Rangers need to "find their way back to base before their precious oxygen runs out…"

The Faction Pack will cost $4.99/€4.99/£3.99 or 400 MSP. This is the first of four DLC packs to be included in the game's season pass which costs $14.99/€14.99/£11.99 or 1200 MSP.
