PS3 exclusive Tales of Xillia 2 will be released in Europe and Australia in 2014 with those players who have kept their original Tales of Xillia save files entitled to unlock free bonus content in the sequel.
Of course, Tales of Xillia isn't even out yet in the West. The game launches in Europe and Australia on August 9th. Tales of Xillia 2 has been available in Japan since late last year.
Olivier Comet, Senior Vice-President of NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe, commented in a press release that, "We are extremely happy to bring another piece of the beloved Tales of franchise to Europe and Australasia. Tales of Xillia players will be able to fall back into this deep storyline in 2014 with Tales of Xillia 2, as we will introduce brand new characters and let them experience new gameplay features but also improvements of the first opus battle system."
Tales of Xillia 2 marks the 14th entry in the Tales of saga; according to the press release "Players assume the role of Ludger Kresnik, a young man who runs into a young girl named Elle Marta and the two soon become involved in an accident that will change both of their lives forever".
