Dark Souls Remastered Released Date Announced for the Switch; Solaire of Astora Amiibo to Launch Alongside

August 14, 2018 by Jordan Biazzo

Praise the Sun!

Bandai Namco and From Software have announced today that Dark Souls Remastered for the Nintendo Switch is set to release on October 19.

The long-awaited release for this game is finally coming to an end. Soon enough fans will be able to take Dark Souls on the go via the Nintendo Switch. Originally the game was set to release when the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions released back in May, but due to complications, the game was delayed.  From Software made the announcement earlier today with a special message to their fans, check it out down below:

We have kept you waiting long enough, and now are pleased to announce
that the Nintendo Switch version of DARK SOULS REMASTERED will be
released on the 19th October, 2018.
Finally we hope you can look forward to playing Dark Souls wherever, whenever you wish. pic.twitter.com/F8z8AjUIPA

It sucked that this game got delayed, but at least we will now get a better-optimized version of Dark Souls for the Switch. We recently saw some gameplay footage of the game running on the Switch in handheld mode; you can check that out right here. If you’re not a big fan of Dark Souls or never got around to playing it, you might want to check out our Before You Buy video on the game, check it out right here!

Dark Souls Remastered is now available for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The Nintendo Switch version is set and locked to release later this year on October 19.
