July 2nd means a few different things. Canada Day just passed, July 4th long weekend approaches, and new PS Plus games will join PSN.
For July, PS Plus Members will receive five new free games for both their PS3 and Vita.
In no particular order, PS Plus members can download first-person shooter Battlefield 3 (just the base game, it doesn't include any DLC), HD remaster of rollerblading Jet Set Radio and second HD remaster, Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD. PS Vita owners can download Metal Slug XX and Dokuro for free.
Leaving PS Plus today, Deus Ex: Human Revolution will no longer remain part of the PS Plus service. In the following weeks, more games will leave the service as well. The list of games leaving PS Plus this month is as follows.
- July 2nd – Deus Ex: Human Revolution
- July 9th – Joe Danger 2 The Movie
- July 16rd – The Cave
- July 23rd – Germinator
- July 30th – Zero’s Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward
To make up for the removal of Deus Ex, PS Plus members can immediately begin downloading Battlefield 3 today. If you plan to play Battlefield 3 multiplayer tonight, begin your download early as you will need to download a handful of lengthy updates.
