Killer is Dead, the next bizarre creation from the minds of Grasshopper Games and Suda51, is almost ready to be consumed by its dedicated fan base. Past games from the team, like No More Heroes and Shadows of the Damned, may not have pushed millions of units, but it’d be difficult to call Suda51’s audience anything but dedicated to his particular style. This new PS3 and Xbox 360 project looks to continue to break the mold, and anyone who happens to pick it up at launch will be rewarded with a slew of interesting goodies.
The launch edition of Killer is Dead will come packaged with an 80-page hardcover art book, a soundtrack CD containing 25 songs from the game, and the ‘Smooth Operator’ DLC pack which has bonus in-game goods ‘Gigolo Glasses,’ an unique costume for Vivienne and Mika, a bonus ‘Gigolo Mission’ with Betty, and an additional episode with the vampiric Sebastian. And yes, the price will still be $59.99.

“We are looking forward to the upcoming release of Killer is Dead with a special art book, soundtrack CD and bonus DLC,” said Shinichi Suzuki, President of XSEED Games/Marvelous USA. “Fans have been very supportive, which we’re extremely grateful for, so everyone who has pre-ordered the game or buys it at launch will get a deluxe version for no extra charge.”
That’s a great value, and a nice little tip to all the loyal fans of Grasshopper and Suda51. It looks like nothing else on the market, and on August 27, you can experience all the magic.
