BioWare's MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic will soon see an Ewok companion character added courtesy of Patch 2.3, as reported by Dulfy.net.
Treek, the name of the Ewok companion, will be unlockable for Legacy level 40 characters for one million credits. 'Aim' will be Treek's primary combat stat and she uses the heal and tank stances during combat. For more information about her, check out the videos below which show how players on both the Republican and Imperial side are introduced to Treek as well as a cutscene in which she describes for history.
If you think an Ewok may not be up to much well, they did take down an Imperial army in Return of the Jedi.
The Old Republic is believed to be the most expensive game ever made costing up to $200 million. The game was originally planned as a subcription based MMO but eventually became free-to-play however, subcriptions are still available with additional perks if players choose. If you're looking to get into the game, check out our guide to get the most out of the free-to-play element.
BioWare also developed Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic as a traditional RPG experience and as part of EA's deal with Disney and LucasFilm they're set to make another Star Wars title which may return to the Knights' story. Knights of the Old Republic II was developed by Obsidian.
The first game to emerge from the deal is a new Star Wars: Battlefront, which is being developed by DICE.
