Sony announces PSN Summer Blast; sales start tomorrow

deals will run for July 2-9, and July 9-16

It's a good time to be a Playstation owner today as Sony announces PSN Summer Blast! For a two week period, they are running sales for a sizable number of titles for the Playsation 3, the Vita and special prices for Playstation Plus.

Games for sale on July 2 to 9 include

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 $41.99 The Amazing Spider-Man $29.99 Batman Arkham Asylum $9.99 Mortal Kombat $9.99 Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands $7.99 Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: the Game $3.99 Shadow of the Colossus $9.99 Ratchet & Clank Collection on the PS3 $14.99

Also on sale are Mortal Kombat on the Vita ($9.99) and The Lord of The Rings: Aragorn's Quest for Vita and PSP (4.99)

Games for sale on July 9 to 16 include

Fast and Furious Showdown $31.99 Star Trek $43.99 Men In Black: Alien Crisis $29.99 The Simpsons Arcade Game $6.99 X-Men $6.99 Hitman Trilogy HD $19.99 Lord of the  Rings: War in the North $9.99 Silent Hill: Book of Memories $14.99 Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes $14.99 The Adventures of Tintin: The Game $9.99 Star Wars The Force Unleashed II $19.99 LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game $19.99 Just Cause 2 $9.99 Prince of Persia Classics Trilogy $15.99 Alice: Madness Returns $7.99 Fight Night Champions $11.99

Vita games on sale are Silent Hill: Book of Memories ($14.99), Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes ($9.99) and Tron Evolution ($7.99).

We've only included the regular sale prices here. Playstation Plus owners can get even better deals, with games going as low as $ 4. Of course, many of these games are franchises and older games, but if you've held out on some of these, now is a good time to buy.
