Four new games have entered the UK top ten this week but none of them managed to unseat Naughty Dog's The Last of Us which retained its position atop the table for the third week since the game's launch.
Despite a 35 per cent drop in sales The Last of Us clung to first place ahead of Minecraft retail edition for Xbox 360, a new entry this week. The arrival of Minecraft saw Animal Crossing: New Leaf drop to third place having been second for the two previous charts.
Also making their debut this week are The Sims 3: Island Paradise, the 10th add-on for the game, which came in at number five. Deadpool performed well enough for sixth place while PC strategy title Company of Heroes 2 rolled in at number 10.
The complete top ten chart is:
- The Last of Us
- Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition
- Animal Crossing: New Leaf
- FIFA 13
- The SIms 3: Island Paradise
- Deadpool
- Tomb Raider
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
- Assassin's Creed 3
- Company of Heroes 2
