The Creative Assembly has released the minimum and recommended specs required to run Total War: Rome 2 which is set to be released on September 3rd.
Basic system requirements for the turn based strategy title are:
- OS: XP/ Vista/ Windows 7/ Windows 8
- Processor: 2 GHz Intel Dual Core processor / 2.6 GHz Intel Single Core processor
- Memory: 2GB RAM
- Graphics: 512 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible card (shader model 3, vertex texture fetch support)
- DirectX 9.0c
- Hard Drive: 35 GB HD space
- Screen Resolution: 1024×768
However, for players looking to get the most out of Total War: Rome 2 the developers recommend:
- OS: Windows 7/ Windows 8
- Processor: 2nd Generation Intel Core i5 processor (or greater)
- Memory: 4GB RAM
- Graphics: 1024 MB DirectX 11 compatible graphics card
- DirectX 11
- Hard Drive: 35 GB HD space
- Screen Resolution: 1920×1080
Those who pre-order Rome II will gain access to the Greek States DLC pack which adds three additional factions to the game. The title is already the most pre-ordered title in the series' history.
The Creative Assembly are making a number of changes to the how the game works overhauling both armies and regions.
If September is too far away strategy fans can have a look at the Civilization 5: Brave New World launch trailer before the expansion's launch next month while Europa Universalis 4 is set to hit in August.
