Answering questions from fans Alan Kertz, the lead core gameplay designer on Battlefield 4 at DICE, revealed that the title's DLC could see remakes of Operation Metro and Caspian Border.
Speaking on Reddit about the Second Assault Pack Kertz confirmed that the pack is only a timed exclusive DLC for Xbox One and said that Operation Metro and Caspian Border maps were "runaway favorites" in Battlefield 3 which would seem to strongly imply they'll be updated for the next entry in the series.
Second Assault's information page on EA's website comments "This Premium expansion pack will feature four of the most fan-favourite maps from Battlefield 3."
It's also noted that the game has been "redesigned to take advantage of our advanced Frostbite 3 engine and enhanced to include new multiplayer features from Battlefield 4."
DICE are most likely referring to Levolution and Commander Mode which will be making a welcome return in Battlefield 4.
Yesterday, Kertz also revealed that the PS4 version of the game will "likely" use the L2 & R2 triggers for aiming and shooting commenting that they are "so much improved" over the PS3's controller triggers.
Battlefield 4 is set to be released later this year on PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
