EVO 2013 Tournament Schedule Announced!

June 24, 2013 by David Nguyen

Tekken, Mortal Kombat, and Persona 4 Arena players are in for a challenge

The schedule for the biggest fighting game tournament of year has been announced, and it's packed. EVO 2013 is featuring a whopping nine games, and finals on Friday show it. Tekken, Mortal Kombat, and Persona 4 Arena players are going to be playing their entire tournament in a single day, a difficult task indeed. According to the schedule, Tekken seems to have the least amount of entrants. It comes as a bit of a surprise, considering how many people think of Persona 4 Arena as a niche title. But as a fan of ArcSys fighting games, I'm actually quite pleased!

The schedule is as followed:

Super Street Fighter: IV
Pools, Friday 8 AM
Quarter and Semi Finals, Friday: 6 PM
Tournament Finals: Sunday (TBD)

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Tournament Finals: Sunday (TBD)

Tekken Tag Tournament 2

Semi Finals, Friday: 12 noon
Tournament Finals: Friday, 2 PM

Persona 4 Arena
Pools, Friday 8 AM
Semi Finals, Friday: 2 PM

Mortal Kombat 9

Sunday's finals feature Super Street Fighter IV: AE, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Injustice, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and King of Fighters XIII. I'm very excited to see Smash's community in an environment like this. I'm expecting lots of Fox and Sheik players.

NO ITEMS. FIVE LIVES. FINAL DESTINATION. FOX ONLY.
