Lost Planet 3 Trailer Showcases a Giant Mech Battles

June 20, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

There’s one giant mech, and there’s a giant insect. They do battle.

Capcom and Spark Unlimited have put together a new video showcasing some more gameplay from Lost Planet 3, with a focus on giant mechas as they battle against giant insects, called Akrids—which is just a funny way of spelling the word "acrid", I assume. I also assume that they're kind of smelly, hence the name—thank god the game doesn't come with smell-o-vision to enable that.

The trailer's meant for Japanese audiences, but that shouldn't stop you from enjoying it—it's all in English. You can watch the trailer below. It's kind of neat.

The game's set for release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on August 27. There are no plans for a next-gen release, because it's not a next-gen game.
