UK retailer GAME are set to open an Xbox specific store in London this Thursday, June 20th, which is described as a "one-of-a-kind" store GamesIndustry reports.
The shop will feature "gaming pods, head-to-head challenge area, a Microsoft Surface display and the latest and greatest in Xbox hardware and software."
Microsoft plans to launch the Xbox One in the UK later this year. So far GAME have not commented on whether the store is officially affliated with Microsoft.
While this might seem odd given Microsoft's used game restrictions it appears that GAME will be one of the "participating retailers" for second-hand games on the system.
Speaking to Videogamer a representative for the chain commented "GAME will continue to work hand-in-hand with publishers as the industry developes, always listening to the UK gaming community to make sure we deliver for them."
The company added that pre-orders for both PS4 and Xbox One have been performing "strongly" though it's not clear if a similar store is planned for PlayStation products.
The Xbox shop is set to opened in Boxpark, Shoreditch.
