Shuhei Yoshida, the President of Sony's Worldwide Studios, has revealed that PS4 owners will be to upgrade their consoles hard disk drive (HDD) to provide more storage space on their console; Xbox One owners will not be able to do so.
Both the Xbox One and the PS4 come with a 500GB HDD.
On Twitter Yoshida said:
And yes, PS4's HDD is upgradable like PS3 <3

This feature is already available on PS3 and will likely be further expanded with bigger cloud save capacity on PS4. In addition, Gaikai streaming is set to be launched in 2014 which will negate some storage requirements. Even so, it's good to know PS4 owners will have the option.
The ability to change your console's HHD is just one of a number of factors which differentiate Sony's console from Microsoft's. The PS4 does not need an internet connection, has none of the Xbox One's used game limits, does not require a sensor and is $100 cheaper. The PS4 is also region free while the Xbox One is not.
The PS4 is set to be released later this year for $399.
