Killzone: Mercenary Multiplayer Details and Maps

June 6, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

Killzone: Mercenary will feature 8 player multiplayer and 6 maps.

In a post on the Guerrilla Games official website, information for Killzone: Mercenary describes the 3 modes and the features of the multiplayer maps.

In the Mercenary Warfare mode, players will fight solo in a free-for-all matchup who all aim to earn the most Vektan Dollars within the set time limit. The Guerrilla Warfare mode follows your classic team deathmatch structure of killing the enemy team to win. In the final mode, Warzone, both factions will need to complete five different objectives. Whichever team completes the most objectives successfully will win the match.

The multiplayer will support up to eight players competing on 6 different maps. In the multiplayer you will find Shoreline, a fishing village positioned on a low cliff, which then requires players to not mistakenly walk off the edge. The fights on the Inlet map will take place on the Corinth River where the ISA invaded the Helghast.  For some more vertical firefights, the Zenith map sits near the open top of a smoke stack where players can ride lifts to the control room of a large Arc Cannon firing into the atmosphere.

To see a full list of maps and their distinctive features, you can check out the Killzone: Mercenary website here.

Killzone: Mercenary will launch on the PlayStation Vita September 10th of this year.
