Microsoft has put together a teaser trailer for their E3 2013 press conference, with flashes of games that they plan to showcase at the event including some already-known games and images of series' that they plan to further expand, like Halo and Gears of War.
Interestingly enough, even though the event is supposed to be focusing on the Xbox One, an image of Dark Souls 2 can be seen in the teaser.
Up until now, Namco Bandai has not disclosed any plans to release Dark Souls 2 on anything apart from current-gen platforms including the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. There's been no word that they would introduce the game on the next-gen. However, the appearance of the game at the Microsoft event may lend credence to the possibility that the game will be getting an Xbox One release, if not a PlayStation 4 release as well. The game is, after all, coming out some time in 2014—ripe for it to be a launch title of either or both next-gen platforms.
If anything, the game's presence at Microsoft's press event signifies that it'll have some exclusive content for the next-gen Xbox One platform.
I guess we'll find out next week when E3 takes place whether this is actually the case.
