The fight between Battlefield and Call of Duty has been an interesting one. While most wars seem to blow up and fade over time, this franchise battle is one that has only gotten more bitter. Adding fuel to the fire is the fact hat the series' upcoming entries – Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts – will be releasing later this year. Not only that, but they will be published within a month of each other. Really, it begs the question of whether or not this is bad for the games, considering all of the free publicity it gets them.
At any rate, the war between the two is alive and well, as various comparisons are being made between the two titles. A few days ago, on May 30, Youtube user VidxHD uploaded the below video to the popular streaming website.
While both of these games obviously haven't shown off their big guns, it goes without saying that there are advantages to each side of the story. Considering this is simply a graphical comparison, there isn't much else to be gathered outside of that realm. It's apparent that Battlefield 4 looks a bit better in terms of textures and pure fidelity, but Ghosts seems to have an edge regarding the frames per second.
All things said, both games look extremely capable of wowing consumers, and that's really what matters. Taking into consideration what we have already been shown in terms of trailers and other media, this expectation is just reinforced. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top when the two games are released.
