I doubt you really need to be reminded, but E3 is happening next week. One of the most interesting press conferences during the show will undoubtedly be Microsoft’s, as it seemed like almost every quote following the reveal of the Xbox One teased a big showing at the Los Angeles event. The company is planning to focus almost entirely on new games, and according to a new development on the Lionheard forums, a fresh Fable game may be on the way.
Although no new title has been confirmed, the Fable forums have been relaunched just a week before E3. Now, I’m no mind reader, but it does seem quite strange to encourage new discussions on Fable without something big on the horizon.
"Have you been longing for a place to hang out with like-minded Fable fans?" a new blog on the forums reads. "A place to share your knowledge and passion for the series? A place where those in pursuit of poultry are never frowned upon and a realm where a bout of flatulence won't draw disapproving glares?
"Join fans from across the globe to discuss all things Fable," it continues. "From the latest news & announcements to guides, walkthroughs and fan content. Wherever your interests lie, you're bound to find the perfect bunch of people to discuss them with."
We last saw the Fable name being used on The Journey, which made use of the Kinect. Some fans saw the potential, but if Microsoft hopes to get the gaming core excited to enter Albion once more, expect a main-line game to be shown next week.
