Wolfenstein 3D was one of the first games to define the first person shooter genre. It’s seen several remakes over the years, with Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and Wolfenstein, and is slated to be a part of the next-generation of games with a major undertaking called Wolfenstein: The New Order.
Ahead of the game’s release, Bethesda has re-issued the release of the classic Wolfenstein 3D on both the PlayStation Network and the Xbox Live Arcade, where they first launched way back in 2009. The game is now priced at a reasonable 400 MS Points, or $4.99. The game is also available on Steam.
Players take on the role of one B.J. Blazkowicz as he, in turn, takes on legion of Nazis after escaping from a high tech prison called Castle Wolfenstein. After fighting through throngs of angry pixelated German soldiers, the game ends with the death of Mecha-Hitler. Really!
