Vampyr Goes Gold

May 19, 2018 by Jordan Coetsee

All is on track for Vampyr to release June 5th.

Dotnod, the team behind the widely successful narrative based title, Life is Strange has just announced that their upcoming title, Vampyr, has just gone gold. This means that all is on track for the game to land on platforms June 5th.

The game follows the story of Jonathan Reid, a doctor-turned-vampire, who now has to come to terms with what it means to be a vampire. The games focus is mainly on the internal conflict Reid faces – does he sate his biological bloodlust or go against the Hippocratic Oath he swore at the start of his career?

Interestingly enough, with this narrative based title, killing an NPC ends up killing them forever, you can read more about this, here.

“The ultimate experience in the game is knowing that if you take a life, you can’t go back, you can’t revert to a previous save. When you decide to kill an NPC in the game, that’s it for them until the end of the story.”

Excited to try out this title? Let us know down in the comments below. Vampyr will release on Xbox One, PC and PS4 June 5th.
