Ubisoft revealed earlier this month their plans to bring at least 6 games to the Xbox One. A report from the Examiner suggests 2 Ubisoft racing titles might end up on the next generation platforms.
According to Examiner sources and French websites, Ubisoft Reflections, the studio behind the development of Driver: San Francisco, currently is developing a new racing franchise titled The Crew. The source describes the new racing game as a "realistic title, possibly being positioned against Forza and Gran Turismo." The sources believe the game will see a release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and next generation consoles.
In an update to the post, another Ubisoft studio, Ivory Studios – developers of the Test Drive Series – reportedly will also work on The Crew.
GTplanet forum members managed to also get their hands on screenshots for renders of the reported game.
Seems like this holiday will offer plenty of racing titles ranging from Forza 5 on the Xbox one, DriveClub on the PS4 and even Gran Turismo 6 on the PS3.
To possibly find out more about Ubisoft's next racing simulation, you can watch Ubisoft's E3 press conference on Monday, June 10th at 3pm PDT/ 6 Eastern.
