Rayman Legends Announced for PS Vita

May 28, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

Rayman Legends is coming to the PlayStation Vita, joining its predecessor.

Rayman Legends

Ubisoft has announced today that Rayman fans will be able to enjoy Rayman Legends on the PlayStation Vita. The previous game, Rayman Origins, was also released for the Vita. This version of the game will be released alongside its console versions in North America on September 3.

The PS Vita version of Rayman Legends includes all of the original Rayman Legends content, including five exclusive maps playable with Murphy, the green bottle fly seen in previous games. He is controlled through the Rear Touch Pad. Additionally, a multiplayer mode is locally accessible on Wi-Fi and players from the same region will be able to play together cooperatively. Players can also compete against each other in online challenges and compare rankings on leaderboards.

Rayman Legends

In addition to the five maps exclusive to the Vita, the designers had Ubisoft Montpellier have created two exclusive costumes to dress Rayman up as the Prince of Persia, and allow Globox to take on the role of Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell.

In addition to the PS Vita, Rayman Legends will be out for the Wii U, PS3, and Xbox 360.
