Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep, the fourth and possibly final DLC for Gearbox's Borderlands 2, has received new gameplay footage and screenshots ahead of its release on June 25th which you can see below courtesy of All Games Beta.
Borderlands 2 writer Anthony Burch explained to DigitalSpy what they hope to do with the DLC "Torgue likes when things explode. So if he wants something as simple as an explosion and there's not the best narrative justification in the world for us having you do that we go, 'Okay [because: reasons] is the justification', and that's fine – you get to play that card once.
"Tina's goals are more along the lines of, 'I want to make a fun campaign for everybody, I want to try to distance my mind from the fact my friends have died trying to kill Handsome Jack as much as possible'.
"It's a character by character thing. You get one [free pass] and if you do it again you have to do a really good job of justifying or explaining it. It's a crutch – it would be way easier to have the whole plot be hinged on 'because f**k it' but hopefully we didn't do that too much," Burch added.
Burch added he's happy with Assault on Dragon's Keep as an epilogue for Borderlands 2 and that while the developers "could do a ton" he's unsure if Gearbox will return to the game.
