DICE has confirmed that the first-person shooter, Battlefield 1 will not be supported with monthly updates from June.
Taking to the official blog, DICE content lead Jonas Elfving stated that players can continue to expect the regular content additions as well as changes and bug fixes just not at the rate of month to month. Rather the pace will be slowing down.
‘We’re continuing monthly updates for Battlefield 1 until June 2018, in which you can expect fresh content together with various tweaks and fixes for the player experience. As you may have seen on the Updates Page, these updates can cover anything: matchmaking, weapon balancing, even Dreadnought horns that sometimes won’t stop blaring.’
He finished the blog post by stating that players should keep logging into Battlefield 1 as they “don’t want to miss what’s coming.”
This makes sense considering the next Battlefield is due out in the coming months, so logically DICE would be focusing efforts there.
Battlefield 1 is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Thoughts on the update changes? Let us know down in the comments below.
