News concerning the multiplayer component of The Last of Us is to be revealed shortly with Naughty Dog community strategist Eric Monacelli commenting that the arrival of new information is "imminent".
While we've known that the game will have an online component for some time the Sony owned studio has released very little information about it, preferring instead to focus on the single player.
Last week, Naughty Dog lead artist Nate Wells claimed The Last of Us has "the best multiplayer ever conceived."
Previously the developer commented that "We don't apporach [multiplayer] in any of our games as tacked on. And we also always have separate teams working on the different components so that we can maintain full focus on making [single-player and multiplayer] up to our standards."
Asked about the prospect of a DLC season pass for The Last of Us Monacelli claimed it was a "Good idea!" Uncharted 3: Drake Deception, Naughty Dog's last game, featured such a pass.
Earlier today the studio released the Death and Choice developer diary. The Last of Us is set to be released exclusively on PS3 on June 14th.
