Warner Brothers has released a teaser trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins with the full trailer set to be released on May 20th.
Arkham Origins is set on Christmas Eve and will see a younger, less refined Bruce Wayne take on "eight of the world's best assassins" who are dispatched to kill him. Not much is revealed in the trailer though we see Batman fighting one of the assailants, Deathstroke specifically, surrounded by cargo containers while snow is falling.
"Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline occuring several years before the events of Batman: Arkhan Asylum and Batman: Arkham City," Warner Brothers comments. The more "raw" Batman "faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, witness identities being formed and key relationships being forged."
The game is set to be released worldwide on October 25th for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U. PlayStation Vita and 3DS owners will also be able to pick up Arkham Origins Blacklight on the same date.
Unlike Arkham Asylum and Arkham City Origins is being developed by Warner Brothers Montreal rather than UK developer Rocksteady. Fans of the game can download the header image of this post as a wallpaper here.
