DOTA 2 developer Valve has announced (via VG247) new stretch goals for the game's Interactive Compendium scorebook thingy that was released a few days ago. The more people buy it, the more stuff will be unlocked. All of the proceeds from the Interactive Compendium are set to go towards the rewards pool for players who partake in The International 2013 tournament for DOTA 2.
With the prize pool currently sitting at 1.9 million, Valve has announced a host of new stretch goals including a custom HUD skin for all Compendium owners, a new Taunt item, and more. Here's what the stretch goals currently look like:
- $2,000,000 – A custom HUD skin for all Compendium owners
- $2,200,000 – A Taunt item with a brand new animation for all Compendium owners
- $2,400,000 – Vote on participants in an 8 player Solo Championship (1 vs 1) at The International
- $3,200,000 – Choose the next hero we release
You read that right. The last stretch goal (assuming they stop there) will be the addition of an all new hero for DOTA 2, which will be voted upon by the public. There's little reason to believe that they won't hit the stretch goal, so with that in mind, what hero would you like to see implemented into the game?
