Following the leak last week of the supposed script of a PlayStation 4 commercial Siliconera has unearthed a trademark application from Sony for "Greatness Awaits" which is also the key slogan of the console's markeing campaign, according to the leak.
The filing, which was submitted to the United States Patent & Trademarks Office on May 9th, covers "computer game software, computer game applications" and notably "computer games consoles" as well as associated criteria.
"Who are you not be great? You, with the imagination of a brilliant child and the powers of an ancient god," the leaked script reads. "Who are you to deny greatness? If you would deny it to yourself, you deny it to the entire world," it continues.
The first PS4 commercial is expected to be shown during this month's Champions League final though it's unclear if this is the advertisement which will be used. It should also be pointed out that Sony uses different marketing campaigns in Europe and North America.
Europe, for example, never got the creepy PS3 baby with the company instead opting for the This is Living marketing strategy when launching the PS3 in the region.
The PS4 has a planned release date of 'Holiday 2013' and it's expected that we'll have more concrete information after their pre-E3 press conference next month.
