Battlelog 2.0 won't be going live for some time, but the existing system has been updated to provide some backend support for the upcoming revamp. According to a new update to Battlelog, the new update which just went live will set the foundation for Battlefield 4, which also uses the same system as its predecessor.
Battlelog just received a minor update, mainly focused on bug fixes and "some redesigned elements" to improve the navigation. Plenty of effort is being done to improve the system "under the hood" and support the future of Battlelog, but players who log into the system right now can see a new design for the menus, Com Center, and Game Manager.
It is unknown what kind of improvements will come to Battlelog 2.0, but we know that the arbitrary 100-friend restriction will be lifted so players will be able to have many more friends on their list to play with. It will also come with more detailed stats tracking.
Though relatively new, Battlelog has quickly become a staple of the Battlefield franchise, by replacing the in-game server browser with a web-based system. Battlelog 2.0 is expected to come in the form of a desktop app, with additional support for mobile platforms.
