Starting today until May 31, Pokemon Trainers will be able to pick up two different strains of the Mythical DNA Pokemon Deoxys as they make their "rare return trip from outer space" of both the Pokemon video games and the Trading Card Game (TCG).
Players of Pokemon Black 2 or Pokemon White 2 can add Deoxys to their Pokedex in a special distribution event through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service, while TCG players and collectors can find the new Pokémon TCG: Black & White—Plasma Freeze expansion, which includes the powerful Deoxys-EX card, at retail stores across America.
The mythical Pokemon will arrive in a Dusk Ball and hold a Life Orb to boost its attack power at the expense of HP. The character boasts the Pressure Ability, which can exhaust opponents by draining extra PP. Deoxys can also change Formes to suit any battle, altering its genome between the visually distinct Normal Forme, Attack Forme, Defense Forme, and Speed Forme if its Trainer brings it to a certain place in Nacrene City.
To participate in the Deoxys character distribution event beginning May 8 via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service, players will need:
· Wireless broadband Internet access
· A Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DSi XL, Nintendo 3DS, or Nintendo 3DS XL system
· A copy of the Pokémon Black 2 or Pokémon White 2 game
· No more than 11 Wonder Cards in their possession
Keep in mind that this is the only way to pick up Deoxys, which you can use to later transfer to Pokemon X & Y when those games are released.
