Sony has announced which games will join the Instant Game Collection for PS Plus members in the US this month Headlining the set of five games is Sleeping Dogs, the open-world action-adventure game from Square Enix that explores organised crime in Hong Kong. The game has a Metacritic rating of 83 on the PS3 and would cost you $49.99 were you to buy it from the PlayStation Store, so this is a good deal. You'll also get three DLC packs with your free download: the Retro Triad Pack, the Red Envelope Pack, and the Street Racer Pack.
Next on the list is Knytt Underground, the latest game in the Knytt series from Nicklas Nygren (or “Nifflas”). This 2D platformer is set in an enchanting world through which the player character can leap and float. It's available on both PS3 and Vita, so you can download both versions for free while it stays in the Instant Game Collection.
Pinball Arcade is also available for both consoles, but the other two games in the collection are only for Vita: Germinator and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND. Germinator is a bubble-matching-style game, though the bubbles are germs of various colours and abilities. BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND is a 2D fighting game with online multiplayer.
Also this month, from today, PS Plus members in the US can get a discounted copy of PaPo & Yo, the adventure game about a young boy with an alcoholic father. A 25% discount brings the game down to $8.99 from $11.99.
