A couple weeks back Fortnite hit iOS providing the exact same battle royale experience you got from PC, PS4 and Xbox One, except on iOS devices. Unfortunately, the game was limited to ‘invite-only’, allowing only a select few players to play the game before it’s imminent public release (despite this limitation, the game still hit no. 1 on the app store.)
Now the game has finally launched to the public however, Fortnite battle royale is only available for iOS 11 and will not work on devices running iOS 10 or older. Also, the game will not work on every device. You should have at least an iPhone 6s, iPhone SE, iPad Pro, iPad mini 4, iPad Air 2 or the latest 9.7-inch iPad. Also, since this is a multiplayer game, it will require a constant internet connection.
‘Fortnite Battle Royale is coming to mobile devices! On phones and tablets, Fortnite is the same 100-player game you know from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. Same gameplay, same map, same content, same weekly updates.’
As of right now, The Android version of Fortnite Mobile doesn’t have a release date but Epic has confirmed that it’s still in development. If you want to try out Fortnite Mobile You’ll still need to create an account on Epic’s site to play the game so head here.
