New job postings on YouTube have raised the possibility that the popular website could expand its distribution to videogame consoles.
At the moment, YouTube videos are viewable through a specially designed website on web browsers for the PS3 and Wii, but the new job posting seeks to do more with that by seeking an engineer to make it an even bigger thing for the console, according to findings reported by GamaSutra.
The engineer who gets the job is expected to create a "compelling lean back experience" that includes both "pay-per-stream" and "ad-based monetization options."
The new system could well signify Google's expansion of YouTube to compete with the likes of Hulu Plus and Netflix.
With any luck, LOLCats will find their way onto your TV.
