Rayman Origins was released on the PlayStation Vita in addition to its console counterparts, making it one of the biggest and most exciting titles on the platform.
However, gamers were a little disappointed to find out that the game's sequel, Rayman Legends, may not be coming to the PS Vita, after it was confirmed as a Wii U exclusive game. More recent developments have pushed back the release date of the game and guaranteed its release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in addition to the Wii U.
Today, Spanish gaming retailer fnac.es (via AGB) put up a listing for Rayman Legends on the PS Vita, with an expected release date of 29 August, 2013. It's still too early to take the game's listing for a potential release on the PS Vita as a confirmation, but given the popularity of its predecessor, Rayman Origins, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to think that Ubisoft is intent on bringing the game to the handheld.
Owning a Wii U seems like less and less of a good idea, especially if all you're looking forward to are games like Rayman Legends—formerly an exclusive, but now slated for just about every other platform in existence. It's only a matter of time before the game is confirmed for the PC, as well.
We'll be reaching out to Ubisoft to confirm the listing.
